Am I screwed for IVY League?

Okay well I'm a freshmen.Report cards aren't out yet but my teacher's have already told me my grades.I basically got all A's but for some reason I currently have a C in band because I can't go to the football game's since I don't ever have a ride.

Do I still have a chance at a school like Yale or Brown? Don't they look at freshmen year?

One C in band as a freshman should not affect your chances for the Ivies.  However, if the band cannot provide a ride for you, you should drop band at the end of the semester and find another extracurricular activity whose events are easier to attend.

Colleges don't really care about freshmen year. And If you have all A's in academic subjects, then they won't give a crap about a C in band. You can always explain that on the application too.

Nope. -As LONG as you're not hoping to get into Yale on a music scholarship, you still have a shot at getting IN ! Just keep those other Grades UP,  try to get into some extracurricular activities that you CAN make it to  do well in !
